This section sets out the Terms of Use for the BTRi Membership Portal. Your use of BTRi Membership Portal, which is operated by the Building Technology Research Institute ("BTRi") is subject to the following Terms of Use. By accessing or using the BTRi Membership Portal, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. Please read this Agreement carefully as your continued use of the BTRi Membership Portal constitutes your acceptance of this Agreement.
BTRi shall not be liable in any way for any costs, losses, or damages arising from or in relation to the use of the BTRi Membership Portal. The headings of each clause in this Agreement are for reference only and will not affect the interpretation or construction of the respective clauses.
Copyright, Trade Mark and other Intellectual Property Rights
The content available on this BTRi Membership Portal including but not limited to all text, graphics, information, drawings, reports, diagrams, photographs and compilation of data or other materials are subject to copyright, trademark and other intellectual property rights owned by BTRi. Except as expressly permitted herein or where prior written authorisation is obtained from BTRi, any reproduction, adaptation, distribution, dissemination or making available of such copyright works to the public is strictly prohibited.
Use of Information and Materials on this Platform
By accessing the BTRi Membership Portal, you agree that you will access all information on the BTRi Membership Portal or any materials contained herein solely for your own private non-commercial use. You shall not use the contents or any material contained herein for any other purposes.
The information provided on the BTRi Membership Portal is for reference only. BTRi does not warrant that all, or any part of, the information provided is accurate in all respects.

Transactions over the Internet
Transactions conducted through the internet may be subject to interruption, blackout, delay or error. BTRi shall not be responsible for any loss of accuracy or timeliness of any message sent or transaction conducted through this BTRi Membership Portal arising from or in relation to any malfunctions in communication facilities that are out of the control of BTRi.
Change of Contents on the Website and Online Services
BTRi reserves the rights to update, modify, suspend, discontinue or close temporarily or permanently the BTRi Membership Portal or any part thereof at any time without notice and you agree that BTRi shall not be responsible for you or to any third party for any modification, suspension or discontinuance of the BTRi Membership Portal or any part thereof.
Indemnity
You undertake to indemnify, defend and hold harmless BTRi, officers, agents or other members and employees from and against any or all claims, proceedings, damages, losses, injuries, costs and expenses or liabilities arising from:
a. your breach of any of this Agreement;
b. your use of the BTRi Membership Portal;
c. any deletions, additions, insertions, or alterations to, or any unauthorised use of, the BTRi Membership Portal by you; or
d. any misrepresentation or breach of representation or warranty made by you contained herein.
Change of Terms and Conditions
BTRi reserve the rights to vary or amend the terms and conditions of this Agreement from time to time at our sole discretion without prior notice. Any variations or amendments shall take effect upon posting of the same on the BTRi Membership Portal. If you do not agree to any variations or amendments to this Agreement, you shall immediately stop using the BTRi Membership Portal.
Severability
Each of the provision of this Agreement is severable and distinct from the others and, if at any time one or more of such provisions is or becomes illegal, invalid or unenforceable in any respect under the laws of jurisdiction, the legality, validity or enforceability of the remaining provisions shall not be affected in any way.
Governing Law
This Agreement shall be construed in accordance with, and shall be governed by, the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China (“Hong Kong”). You agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hong Kong.
